Me time: DIY honey vanilla scrub

Don't forget to take a break for some "me time".  Holidays can be hectic so here is an easy DIY spa treatment you can make with ingredients you have at home!

Honey Vanilla Sugar Scrub

*1/2 cup sugar
*1/3 cup olive oil
*2 tbsp honey
*1 tsp vanilla extract

Mix all ingredients together.   Rub gently on legs to exfoliate.   Follow up by shaving your legs for super silky legs.

If you put on the scrub in the shower be careful because the oil will make the tub super slippery.  I have done the scrub over an old towel to keep the tub clean.  After using the scrub roll up the towel. After your shower you can shake the towel out in the garbage and wash.

Tumeric tea - trying something new to me

I saw a post recently about turmeric tea and have been wanting to try it out.  It is freezing today so I thought this would be something great to warm me up.

Turmeric Tea

Ingredients:

1 cup Coconut Milk (or almond)
½ tspn Cinnamon
½ tspn Turmeric
1/8 tspn Nutmeg
Dash of Cayenne Pepper
Raw honey to taste

Instructions:
Put coconut milk, spices and honey in a sauce pan heat up slowly on low heat. If you put it on high heat the coconut milk will get too thick. Pour and enjoy.

Drink Lemon Water in the Morning

Try to do this every day starting today and in January to kick off the New Year!  Drink a glass of room temperature water with lemon every morning before you eat or drink anything else.
